I will be opening the door to my studio again for the annual WASPS Open Studios event. Taking place over the weekend of the 30th of September its a great chance to have a sneak peek in to real artist and designer's work places.

Origin the London Craft Fair

I will be exhibiting my latest work at the prestigious Origin Craft Fair at Spitalfields Market between the 22nd and 28th of September. Origin showcases some of the UKs top designer/makers and attracts international collectors and visitors.

My workbench right now...

The studio is in a bit of disarray just now as I am in the whirl of making before Origin next week. I am working on a couple of new web brooches today, my list of 'things to do' is gradually getting smaller.

Re-Found Ring #2

This double finger ring is a commission for a collector, it was a nice opportunity to make a scaled up hand piece. I have used the last piece of my original fruit crate alongside oxidised silver and smoky quartz. Like the other pieces in the Re-Found collection the back is just as elaborate at the front as a little secret pleasure for the wearer.

A sneaky peek of last weeks photo shoot...

I am so so pleased with the results of last weeks photo shoot with photographer Colin Tennant. I will put more photos up in the coming weeks but for now this is my Knot Necklace made with 18ct gold, tiny diamonds, labradorites and chrisophase. Colin is a lovely guy and is very reasonably priced so I would deffinately recommend him.

My friend, the hugely talented illustrator Bridget Farmer, and I are doing a blog collaboration, every so often we send each other an image which the recipient will react to with their own image, then the results will be posted on both of our blogs.
The top image was sent to me by Bridget just with the title 'wet pavement at night'. My image below is a hipstamatic photo of bits and bobs on my bench last week when I was designing and making new work.

This brooch from about 2004 sits on our mantel piece at home. I made it from a butter paddle hence the ridges back.
